I’m having a grand time out on Whidbey with friends. This afternoon we took a tour of a magical cottage deep in the woods. Here are a few pics of various sites. More later.

Aunt Mary’s 100th
Feb 5
The first few pictures from Aunt Mary’s 100th birthday bash are up. I’m not sure how to distribute these ultimately. Thought you’d like to see a sampling while I sort out the details. The originals are huge files that will print in high resolution…these pale in comparison.
It was a great time…being re-introduced to cousins and discovering how much we still like each other! And celebrating Aunt Mary’s long and obviously healthy life at the same time. Stay tuned for more….or if you have pictures you’d like me to post, email me.
Urban Tribe Christmas

At Christmas we celebrate with our other family, Breakfast Club. Carol treated us to a great lunch at the Columbus Country Club. Elsbeth had a piano recital and was missed. The Bexley choir surprised and embarrassed Ed and Kerry with a chorus of "Happy Birthday."
Blair feels better than new after his knee surgery this week.

Tessa’s Chicago Show
Nov 16
ThreeWalls Gallery in Chicago is presenting meanwhile, a two-person exhibition of current work by Tessa Windt (Pittsburgh) and Jenny Walters (Chicago).
The gallery’s writeup says, "meanwhile is space and time at the in-between; the membrane through which memory, desire and longing pass. Windt’s sculptural forms, although deflated are still luscious, while Walter’s images of empty blankets retain their poignancy and hope despite their depiction of absence. Although the body has vacated these artworks, they retain the trace of presence, both remainder and reminder, embodying both the potential and the surplus of life and love."
Santa Fe
Nov 5
This time Blair accompanied me on one of my polymer clay jaunts. We went to Santa Fe for a weeklong color class, playing guinea pig for color divas Lindly Haunani and Maggie Maggio. Here are the links to all the pictures.
Blair hiked and visited Ann Wu and entertained himself while the polymer artists basked in the Santa Fe fall colors back at the compound. Take a look.
Overhaul
Oct 11
In response to my children’s protests, I have reshuffled the structure of tinapple.com. We’re in a constant state of shuffle on this site.
I hate to admit that they were right. Let’s just say that their arguments had merit. I was amazed to find files from 1997 as I sorted through the debris. We’ve gone from embarrassingly simple html pages to embarrassingly revealing blog posts. The one constant is embarrassment.
Heres an October snapshop of my sister Carol, Aunt Mary Hyslop and Rosemary Hyslop. Aunt Mary at 99 is immune to embarrassment. I’m happy to have her in my gene pool.
Check out the rest of our pages and the children’s latest exploits. Blair’s site is aging badly and is next up for major overhaul. A new inlaid walnut bowl that Blair and I partnered on won "Best of Show" in this month’s exhibit at High Road Gallery.

End of September Already?
Sep 23
Ohmigod…it’s the end of September. How did that happen? Time has flown by. Blair’s been hard at work and play…drumming. He’s bought himself a (used) cherry corvette.
I’ve attended a polymer clay conference at Pingree, Colorado (where I worked on the bowl inlay at left) and started a daily polymer blog. I have high hopes for this venture. Please check PolymerClayDaily.com often.
The rest of the family is terrific. Summer just zoomed right by us!
