Considering the cost of yarn, crochet lessons and the distinct possibility that it would all gather dust in a basket, I decided to try granny squares in polymer.

I don’t know where my obsession came from but I dealt with it. Here’s the post I wrote with all the links to the tutorial that helped me and my process. I’m inlaying a bowl with the canes. That should look good….and I could never have done that with yarn!
