    A Lovely Mother’s Day

    May 9th, 2005

What a grand time we had in NYC this weekend. David’s group had their opening party at SouthPaw in Brooklyn on Friday night and PatZ joined us. It was a trendy, young, interesting, and somewhat loud venue. All the pictures from that night are dotted with our green earplugs.

Saturday Hillary and I went to breakfast at the quaint organic restaurant in her Harlem neighborhood and then back to Brooklyn to see the Basquiat show at the Brooklyn Museum. Powerful works.

That evening (after shopping, naturally), David, Tessa, Hillary, Grace, Adolph and I gathered for a great evening topped off with dinner at Ollie’s

Hillary’s apartment is as cute and small (187 sq. ft.) as advertised, among the five finalists in a Smallest, Coolest Apartment Contest.

The New York Post nabbed the story running it in Tuesday’s paper (read it here).

Hillary’s place is the smallest of the bunch and she gives Craigslist, Freecycle and the concept of living simply some good press.
